The New River Trail (NRT) Allisonia/Hiwassee entrance is approximately 11 miles away via Rt 693 providing a beautiful scenic drive along Big Reed Island Creek to where it joins the New River in Allisonia/Hiwassee.  There is a boat ramp area with free parking.  The Foster Falls NRT entrance is approximately 13 miles away via Rt 693 to Rt 100 and offers a camp store, horseback riding, bike and boat rentals. Thee Draper Village is located approximately 20 miles away and offers a restaurant, gift shops, bike rental and access to the NRT.  While on your hiking/biking trip, stop by and check out the Shot Tower.
